ALSO~ I do respect anime as an art style. Sadly, I believe children these days prefer to try it out because it looks so easy to master, due to it's overall simplicity.
However, one is never going to make any progress in art, regardless of the art style, unless you study up on techniques, etc.
I'm not trying to bash anime, just stating points.
