Why I like TDK's version better than the original comics':  He's more sinister. He has no goal, and doesn't care for his life, only to destroy others' and to create more chaos. I can take him 10x more seriously than the pointy-nosed, lanky Joker in the comics. :/ I'm sorry, but it's not like "OMG THIS ONE IS HOT!!!" it's just... I like this portrayal of the character better, even if it may be completely different than the ones in the comics. As for die-hard original-comic-book fans, I can relate. Venom in Spider-Man 3 killed the character's movie potential. Instead of an angry, buff man with good intentions [Those who read the Venom comic books will understand.], Hollywood turned Eddie Brock into this spoiled brat. So, yes, I can relate with you guys. If you like movie Venom better, go for it, like if you prefer comic Joker instead of Heath Ledger's.^ I am not saying this because of his unfortunate passing. RIP I still have respect for comic!Joker, it's just... eh. :/ To me, the movie does him more justice. So... yeah.  |
